Welcome to the launch of my first blog series, The Collegiate Files!! I am super excited to bring this series to you. I am beginning school again in the fall, and I hope this will help those who are just starting out at college as well as those who are returning. I wanted to share with you a tool that I have found to be super helpful when typing papers, emails, even social media posts. I stumbled upon Grammarly while reading a blog post. The blog name escapes me, but I remember thinking how awesome it would be to have a grammar checker everywhere you went on the web. Not just a grammar checker, but a spell checker as well. I signed up and had the plugins installed on both Chrome and Firefox browsers on my desktop and laptop. I am glad I made that decision. So many times it has helped me with my grammar and even my spelling when I am typing so fast I misspell a word or two. I have had 51 critical and advanced fixes since I installed it in October of 2014.
Words cannot begin to tell you how much this tool has helped me. Even as I am writing this post, Grammarly shows up with its red lines every time I misspell or have a grammatical error. I am generally a good grammarian on my own, but there is nothing wrong with having a little help. If you are interested in giving your papers that certain edge or just want to be grammatically correct with social media posts for your brands or businesses, I highly recommend installing Grammarly. Just click on the link below and get in on the grammar!
